Sareee & Natsupoi vs. Takumi Iroha & AZM, 7/29/2024
Sareee Produce Sareee-ISM Chapter IV @ Tokyo Shinjuku FACE Hall

This was billed as a “Special Dream Tag Match” where Sareee had chosen Natsupoi as her surprise partner stating that she wanted to bring out a stronger and scarier side of Natsupoi during the match. I’m not so sure it accomplished exactly that, but it was an excellent match nonetheless.

While the winning team here was probably never in doubt, as Sareee is the Marigold World champion and SEAdLINNNG champion and Natsupoi the Wonder of Stardom champion, this was a real hard worked match and a worthy main event on any show. Sareee continues to make a case that she’s one of the best in the world right now.

The match starts off with AZM and Sareee which was the matchup that had the most going for it here as they worked really well together. The exchanges were tight and seamless and had a level of intensity that carried through the entire match. Natsupoi gets cut off and beat up on by Iroha with some brutal strikes and at one point Iroha just lays Natsupoi out with an elbow. The Iroha/AZM control segment here was great and it led to some awesome heated exchanges between Sareee and Iroha once Sareee finally got back in the ring. Like with AZM, Saree and Iroha worked so well together here. They go full bruiser throwing bombs back and forth and the small crowd is eating it up. We get more Sareee and AZM goodness. They had such great fluid exchanges and AZM’s offense seemed more focused than usual. The match as a whole had a great pace to it from the start and the intensity never went away even in the smallest of exchanges.

The brawl section on the outside felt somewhat out of place but it didn’t last long and didn’t take away much from the rest of the match as once the action got back in the ring, it picked up right where it left off. Natsupoi, while probably the least featured in the match until the finishing stretch, certainly had a good showing as well. Her selling is always solid and she plays the comeback role very well. The pinfall attempt exchanges between her and AZM were really well done and led to the finish where she rolls up AZM with the Fairy Magic after Sareee hits her with the exploder.

Excellent match that is currently in my top 4 Joshi matches this year.  Worth going out of your way to see. ****
