Apollo 10 1/2: Funny, charming, and just a little unconventional… hey, that sounds like my wife! It also sounds like a really good Richard Linklater movie, one where he used rotoscope animation for the first time since A Scanner Darkly to deliver a coming-of-age wonder based in both Texas and outer space. *****
Uncharted: If you needed more of Tom Holland going WHOAAA while falling through the sky, there is this movie. It’s on the weaker end of the unnecessary blockbuster that at one point made sense on paper. **
Senior Year: If you needed more of Rebel Wilson being silly and assertive in an unnecessary situation, there is this movie, too. It’s on the higher end of Netflix rom-coms that at one point made sense on paper. **
The Lost City: Channing Tatum! Sandy Bullock! Brad Pitt! And Daniel Radcliffe as the villain… it’s a swashbuckling throwback filled with charisma, bay-bee! ****
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Despite the whole multiple universes thing, an impressively contained story with fun performances from babyface Benedict Cumberbatch, heel Elizabeth Olsen, and spunky young newcomer Xochitl Gomez. ***3/4
