Promising Young Woman: Carey Mulligan is an all-star but all I could think at the end of this was, “what a bummer.” That’s not good. ***1/4

Hysterical: Bunch of comedians talk females in comedy and they’re mostly females – high-concept. No deep analysis of anything but a fun watch. ***
Thunder Force: Melissa McCarthy and husband are basically doing big budget movies with direct-to-DVD writing and effort. This was another one. *1/2
Sylvie’s Love: Classy, jazzy, a tale of romance that felt new in how old-fashioned it was. ***1/2
