America: The Motion Picture: Tons of talent on voice, quality animation, and so many terrible jokes. DUD
No Sudden Move: Soderbergh keeps pumping out these 90-minute crime capers carried by a straightforward script and awesome casts. Cheadle, Del Toro, and Brendan Fraser are here along with Don Draper and many others. ***1/2
Summer of Soul: Sit back and embrace the pure joy of this previously unseen footage of the Harlem Cultural Festival in 1969, then get a little angry because it went unseen for so long. It focuses in on the feeling of the individuals reflecting on the moment, and it rules. ****1/4
Together Together: Ed Helms is a man who wants a baby, which provides a fine acting opportunity for the usually supporting Patti Harrison. ***
The Water Man: Solid, empathetic PG fantasy movie directed by David Oyelowo that’s also a little forced and familiar. ***
