Dick Johnson is Dead: Here is something completely different. I don’t know if the approach carried an entire movie, but it was an interesting approach. ***1/2
Hubie Halloween: I was not expecting Adam Sandler playing a slow man who lands Julie Bowen, but here we are. As far as lazy Sandler goes? Not the worst. **1/4
The 40-Year-Old Version: Realest movie of the gear. Brilliant, engrossing, timely, and paced really well – never lost me. Would stand out as great in any year, but especially did in this one. *****
Charm City Kings: A little long, a little generic, but a quality coming-of-age movie with Meek Mill about dirt bikes. ***3/4
Time: A compelling, frustrating labor of love in documentary movie format. ****1/4
