Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: When I saw the first Borat in my late-teens I laughed a lot and thought, “I can’t believe this.” 14 years later when I saw this sequel, I laughed a little and thought, “I believe all of this.” ****1/2
The Trial of the Chicago 7: A bunch of good actors doing an Aaron Sorkin script – even in a time without many actual movies, that’s a good setup. Watching Sasha Baron Cohen be so good in this after being so good in Borat 2 was a trip too. ****1/4
On the Rocks: All the ingredients of a good film, Sofia Coppola-written with Bill Murray and Rashida Jones and Marlon by god Wayans. But it’s just OK. Doesn’t really explore or say or entertain enough to just be OK. **3/4
Enola Homes: My goodness, if it wasn’t for COVID-19 they might’ve just created a franchise. ***1/4
The Happiest Season: The kind of Hollywood romantic comedy they just don’t make anymore! That’s a compliment. It tried to cover one too many things but covered all the bases to bring those bittersweet holiday feels. A bad movie totally worth watching. ***3/4
