INTO THE INTERNET – In “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2,” Vanellope von Schweetz and Wreck-It Ralph leave the arcade world behind to explore the uncharted and thrilling world of the internet. In this image, Vanellope and Ralph have a breathtaking view of the world wide web, a seemingly never-ending metropolis filled with websites, apps and social media networks. On a quest to save Vanellope’s game, how will these two misfits ever succeed in this vast new world? Featuring the voices of Sarah Silverman as Vanellope and John C. Reilly as Ralph, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 21, 2018. ©2018 Disney. All Rights Reserved.

Wine Country: Look I want to see Amy Poehler direct more movies and I love damn near every single member of this cast but outside of Paula Pell’s line delivery this is a movie that is… fine. Seeing everyone do their thing kind of carries it, but it’s a movie that doesn’t really hit. **1/4

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part: This universe has got legs and this was a bunch of silly fun, though not the mind-blowing ride of joy the first was. ***1/4

Always Be My Maybe: Hot damn do Randall Park and Ali Wong make for a pair of likable lead romantic comedy leads. A wonderful bridge between romantic comedy clichés and just straight-up fun comedy. ****

Widows: Heists, political drama, and so much great acting by a cast so stellar it’s ridiculous. I enjoyed this, though the world it inhibited felt especially bleak. ***3/4

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Like the first one, it both follows the Disney formula and turns it on its head, and there is some serious creativity injected into every millisecond of this thing. The way they portray the Internet as a living breathing world is one of the cooler things I’ve ever seen a movie to. The references are less “HEY LOOK A REFERENCE” and more legit hilarious takes on cultural gaming icons as normal folks too. Loved this. ****1/2
