Snatched: Amy Schumer is a talent but there really wasn’t much to this thing. Very much the type of comedy you make when you’re ringing the last few drops of stardom from someone that became a new star. **
Baywatch: A movie that had no right to be as solid as it is. This, like any Rock movie, has all the annoying Hollywood blockbuster tropes, but for a movie that has to use them it could’ve been way worse. ***1/4
Cars 3: The Cars series rarely comes close to the bar that Pixar set for itself, and I’m not going to say this is some memorable epic – but it’s a good, heartfelt, fun movie. ***1/2
Baby Driver: A fun as heck action thriller, though a little… I dunno, drab? I’m happy that Edgar Wright is branching out but his shtick feels a little darker when Simon Pegg isn’t saying the lines. ***1/2
Brigsby Bear: I like Kyle Mooney’s humor a lot so am a bit biased, but this was incredible. Just the weirdest most interesting funny movie that at the end of the day is about friends making a movie. An entire canon of a children’s TV series was created for this one movie. Amazing. *****
