It’s 2017 and I walk around every day going WHAT THE FUCK?
Innovation, automation. Green energy. Climate change. A dwindling middle class. Health care remains nuts. Straight-up naked racism all over the place. U.S. ranks 17th in educational performance. 7 in 10 Americans with less than $1,000 in savings. 12.7% of the U.S. is starving. Money in politics. Crazy-ass Europe. Crazy-ass Middle East. China making investments all over the place. And we’re discussing fuckin’ REFUGEES? Discussing FAKE NEWS? The god damn emoluments clause? What are we doing here?
Oh am I supposed to talk about WRESTLING here? Hm? Professional wrestling? The sport of champions? Sports entertainment? Hm? Yeah we will get to that you savage.
But politics – no, not politics. Not government. This is humanity right now. Our politics has become our humanity if this is what can happen. We aren’t engaged enough as a society if this can happen.
Like – everybody in elected leadership KIND OF sucks, you have to KIND OF suck to be the representative of the irrational, balance so many agendas, all while having to raise money to get re-elected (which is kind of bullshit). But I mean god damn.
TRUMP? OUR PRESIDENT IS DONALD TRUMP? That’s been repeated ad-nauseam for the last few weeks and what sucks is the absolute outrage about that statement will dissipate but it is just always going to ring true for however long this lasts. And his party, the god damn Republicans, are just like, well.. yeah. He is who he is! We’re gonna get in line! As long as we get a conservative Supreme Court justice and a tax cut and I don’t gotta worry about brown people then fuck it we’ll give the country to a creepy crazy childish (and not the cute full of wonder child but the waaa waaa I want my way child that’s somehow already racist) evil greedy corrupt bigoted dude with sexist and dictatorial tendencies and all of his enablers, some of whom are legitimate white supremacists.
I know the real minutia of government happens locally and state-by-state, but the fact that such a naked disgusting con man could rise up to be chosen to lead this country is just so sad. I know, I know – Johnson, Hoover, hell some people thought the same about Hillary. But Jesus Christ. Hillary is a politician. Obama is a politician. Reagan, Carter, Ford, LBJ, Kennedy, Ike. Even fuckin’ BUSH was a politician (not Cheney tho). But Don Trump is a hateful incompetent con man. I could’ve said that before the election and meant it, but now that he is actually President it should just be naked for everybody to see. Politicians are gross, a con man as politician is when it gets truly treacherous.
The Democrats have their corporate interests, they have their drone strikes, but for the most part they are serious fucking people who at least pay lip service to compassion.
And the god damn Republicans. Just keeping quiet, baring through it. They know they’re bought and sold by so many interests concerned with keeping us in the past and purely making profit. Rhetoric against the welfare state, against LGBT people, standing for absolutely nothing, acting like absolute fucking babies during the last 8 years – all of that was unconscionable. But this… man. This is something else. This is putting them out there, naked and fat and gross, for everybody to see.
And what’s fucked up is these dirtbags have a stranglehold on our elected leadership. They’re better at organizing, better at being around small towns, better at playing into fear all under the guise of fiscal responsibility, better at appealing to America’s worst instincts.
I don’t even know what they’re fighting for. Instilling a flat tax? It just has to be gross corruption, sticking it to the libtards, and not helping poor people. It surely can’t be a strong military, freedom, patriotism, low taxes – Dems do all of that already. Is it God? Is it just all about God? If it’s all about God, you know damn well God should be speaking up soon then.
A screw-up by a Democrat is the end of the world; an absolute bewildering amount of scandal and corruption and strong-arming is just Donald being Donald.
The Trump Administration – JUST THREE WEEKS IN – literally stopped tracking white nationalist extremist groups so they could focus on Islamic extremism. Our Attorney General is named after Jefferson fucking Davis. The Trump Administration’s alleged pick for Solicitor General (the guy who argues for the U.S. before the Supreme Court) literally argued in court in the 1980s that a college was in the right for preventing interracial dating. He withdrew from nomination today because he didn’t want to go through the grueling confirmation process because life is too short – AKA HE DIDN’T WANT TO BE CALLED OUT FOR HIS BLATANT RACISM. HOW WAS HE EVEN UP FOR THE GOD DAMN JOB?
And you know what really sucks? Trump, for the moment, really has ruined the country. He’s done it. Our discourse is so fucking stupid now. The media sucks – I hate that they have to cover politics and talking points over policy – but they’re not fucking LIARS. Everything anyone’s discussing at any given moment now that has to do with our government is just inherently stupid because a big fucking crazy baby is at the top. So he’s ruined our country. But I can’t say that, because I sound like crazy anti-Obama guy did when they said Obama ruined the country — BUT TRUMP IS ACTUALLY RUINING THE COUNTRY. Obama didn’t go anywhere near it. He played it steady. He fucked up on some things. But the Obama Administration fucked things up in the way American Presidents fuck things up. IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU GIVE THE COUNTRY TO WHITE SUPREMACISTS.
I know we’re out there protesting and screaming and hollering and it is awesome to see, but policy aside, can even more people speak up and say that this is fucking CRAZY?

We can’t discuss anything anymore. Like we never have, but at least senators did. Automation, climate change, changing economy, drug prices, how we spend money. What do we do about it? Let’s discuss it, not base it off of some fucking ideology amplified by every fucking person because there’s no easier way to talk about things logically anymore. Obama tried a few things and these same motherfuckers now in complete power said NO at all costs. Energy grid, health care reform. Fucking guns after Newtown. Just nothing. Nope. We’re not even going to talk about any of it. Because POLITICS LOL! Now senators are just reading the talking points, reading doublespeak garbage written up by corporate overlords. Freedom, innovation, choice – those words do not mean what you think they mean. Corporations aren’t inherently bad, but some are just fuckin’ evil if they’re aggressively fighting against improved affordable healthcare, against regulation designed to prevent tragedy.
C’mon, man. Fiscally responsible without hurting people in need, socially liberal without forcing a brown guy’s cock down your throat. Why can’t we move forward with policies that follow those tenants with just a LITTLE BIT of COMPASSION? WHAT HAPPENED TO COMPASSION? We’re all hurting!! Jesus! Some more than others, yes. Absolutely. Life is not easy sometimes, living in an organized society requires effort. But we’re just gonna blame everything on immigrants and poor people and Obamacare? Really? That’s what we are doing? That is the answer? REFUGEES? REFUGEES? WE’RE CLOSING THE DOOR ON FUCKING REFUGEES!?!?!?!?
And the world too, man. Fucking France might have a President who is basically a Nazi with good PR. What has to happen for everybody to realize this is complete utter shit?
I’m a part of the problem too, I could dialogue about it rather than writing into this echo chamber, and I try. But damn. Everyone now has to rail against something, not for anything. Everyone has to take sides. Every small thing that a liberal or a conservative does is amplified to the max and we forget that our country has a president who staffs white supremacists, attacks minorities, is a total fucking incompetent baby, doesn’t believe negative polls and actively raves against them, with a fervent angry base. The base is the scary part. My god. Yeah The Resistance sounds cool now – just wait til they lose the Presidency (hopefully) and the alt-right gets to call themselves that.
So I declare now what I fight for. Compassion. That is what I fight for. Let’s start just thinking about that a little more in our political discourse. Compassion for everybody. People in need, working class, poor people, middle class, military veterans, and even a little bit for the fucking rich. Can we legislate compassion? Of course not. But we can all act on it, just keep it in mind in our daily lives, shame those who don’t show it, and perhaps our legislators can think the same and understand who really does get hurt (and helped) by the legislation they pass. Let us start from there, and stop being corrupted by all these bullshit freedom and liberty buzzwords that won’t get us a damn thing. We inherently have liberty. We’re America.
