National Champions: The script is sometimes a little much, but this movie about a college football star on strike is paced and delivered like a great thriller. ***1/2
American Underdog: Sports, God, and inspiration. ***
Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn: As it embraced how all over the place it was, I started to lose interest. I’m currently an anti-masker when it comes to movies too, and in this one the main character is wearing one all the time. Stop trolling me, movie. **1/2
Belfast: A film that bled its’ heart for growing up in Ireland right through the screen (in a good way). There isn’t much of the way in action until the end, but there was always something interesting going on. ****1/4
Licorice Pizza: There are a couple weird things about Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film, and they are the age gap between the main characters and John Michael Higgins’ fake Japanese accent. Other than that, there’s plenty to love here from line delivery to cinematography. ****1/4
