Promotions Watched: AJPW, NOAH, DDT, Dragon Gate, Ganbare Pro
Tournaments. Can’t live with ‘em. Can’t live without ‘em. The month of May had the Champ Carnival finals, King of Gate and the Ultimate Tag League. It was a lot of wrestling, but the wrestling was good so let’s not complaint too much.
While the terrific Kento/Jake CC final took the top spot, the rest of the list reads like a tournament MVP competition between Dragon Gate’s Kzy and DDT’s 37KAMIINA (Takeshita & Katsumata). Both making it to the end of their respective tournaments and stealing the show every step of the way.
Other highlights: DDT’s high effort empty arena Korakuen from May 9th (3 matches on the list), NOAH’s Mitsuharu Misawa Memorial (2 matches on the list) and multiple appearances from two of the best champions in wrasslin’ right now: Yuki Ueno and Shun Skywalker.
