Promotions Watched : AJPW, NOAH, Dragon Gate, DDT
October was a hell of a month for the professional type of wrestling. Tournament finals, big title matches, Osaka Pro revivalism. A real truckload of quality content for all of us Pure-O nerds. Although there was some stiff competition, the Champ Carnival final between Kento and Zeus takes the top spot this month. Hell, it probably takes the top spot for the whole year or at least ranks somewhere way up there with the Okada/Naito’s and Shiozaki/Kiyomiya’s of the world. Speaking of must-see matches, I fused the KO-D 6-man/regular double tag epic into a single entry and would recommend sitting in front of this thing ASAP. The perfect gateway into the underappreciated world of DDT non-comedy wrestling. No Dragon Gate entries this month despite some very enjoyable house shows, but fear not: I have a feeling they’ll make a big comeback on the November list.
