Queen & Slim: Bonnie & Clyde if they were a black couple that shot a cop in self-defense. Great acting, intense story, and it stays interesting right until the end. ***3/4
Jumanji: The Next Level: The first Jumanji reboot came around the time that The Rock’s team had perfected the Hollywood Blockbuster, but Danny DeVito aside this one didn’t really feel necessary. It’s almost fun, but leaves it at that. **1/4
Frozen II: Continuing the trend – Frozen near perfected the Animated Blockbuster, but a few beats aside this didn’t feel necessary either. “Into the Unknown” ain’t shit. ***
Zombieland: Double Tap: Fun characters, fun vibe, another forgettable sequel. **3/4
Spenser Confidential: One of those Netflix movies that drops all subtlety – cops, executions, cage fighting. Marky Mark. Marc Maron. All of it. ***
