True Grit: Tons of fun, with awesome performances by Jeff Bridges and young Hailee Steinfeld. Damon and Brolin are great too. A Coen Brothers Western – YES. ****1/4
The King’s Speech: A little stuffy, but Colin Firth and and Geoff Rush trading dialogue is great. Quality stuff and clearly some of Firth’s finest work. ****
Horrible Bosses: A fun comedy worth seeing and probably forgetting about. There are plenty of great moments and the cast is tremendous, it just doesn’t completely come together. ***1/4
Little Fockers: Robert de Niro doing fart jokes. Terrible. Loved the first, like the second, this was not good. DUD
Captain America: The First Avenger: One of Marvel’s early classics. There’s a bunch of good stuff here: hijinks in old school Brooklyn, Tommy Lee Jones hamming it up, fun fight scenes, engaging characters. It doesn’t hit you over the head with AMERICA!!! either. ****
