That’s What I Am: This is a WWE Films movie with Randy Orton as not the hero but the heel’s bigoted dad. And that’s pretty incredible casting, let me tell you. There’s some heart behind this one, but it is awkward heart.
The Illusionist: This is not the 2006 Illusionist, but the 2011 Illusionist which is a cartoon. And it is a sweet, simple and almost-silent movie about not noticing the magic that is all around us. I liked it. ****
Battle: Los Angeles: A movie that is so over-the-top it feels like a satire, but it is not. *
