Aloha: To be honest I have no fucking idea what the story of this movie was. Nuclear weapons in the sky? Strong cast though, even if Emma Stone playing an Asian was a dumb move. *
A Little Chaos: This is Alan Rickman’s final directing job, and the shot of him dancing as the camera pans out makes it all worth it. But, yeah. Crumpets, costumes, and Kate Winslet. ***1/4
Wonder Woman: DC FINALLY gets it done, putting together a great superhero AND war movie that has a big finish that isn’t completely overdone. Good banter, action, story… yeah buddy. ****
Spiderman: Homecoming: I this a lot – great Peter Parker, fun jokes, Michael Keaton as a villain, Tony Stark being Tony Stark. The Marvel formula might need a switch-up soon but this was a lot of fun. ****
The Big Sick: So pleasant, so funny… a big budget comedy that feels like good people made it. Lots of heart. HOLLY HUNTER. ****3/4
